YAMAMAY and Isabella Ferrari
Isabella Ferrari è una delle mie icone di stile; trovo che sia una brava attrice oltre che una donna di grande ed intensa bellezza, sempre molto cool nelle scelte stilistiche.
Per questo non posso non citare il nuovo spot di Yamamay che la vede protagonista.
La scelta di Yamamai è molto interessante e moderna.
Ci siamo abituate a vedere delle modelle giovani e perfette come testimonial di biancheria intima e stavolta invece la protagonista dello spot è una "40something-years-old" incredibilmente sexy nella sua nuda "normalità".
Evviva....

Kitchen style: Sunday brunch
Anche in cucina, inutile dirlo, ci vuole stile...
Eccovi un paio di suggerimenti per un brunch domenicale easy&stylish da dedicare alle vostre persone speciali.
Si inizia con una ricetta del mitico Ale Borghese (che adoro..):
un plumcake salato e tricolore, con zucchine, pomodori secchi e formaggio camembert.

So here there are a couple of recipes for an easy&stylish Sunday brunch for your special people.
Start with my beloved Ale Borghese's recipe:
an italian plumcake, made with squashes, tomatoes and camembert cheese.

E poi si prosegue con il dolce: un altro plumcake alle banane e noci. La ricetta viene da "Cook yourself thin", un'altra delle mie passioni!
And then the cake: a banana loaf from "Cook yourself thin" recipes (I love it...)
Banana Loaf
Ingredients
50g butter
175g light brown soft sugar
2 medium eggs, lightly beaten
350g peeled ripe bananas, mashed
200g self-raising flour sifted
½ tsp salt
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
75g walnuts, roughly chopped (I used pecans, I was out of walnuts) and 6 walnuts halves
Preheat the oven to 180oC/fan 160oC. Line and grease a 1kg loaf tin. Cream the butter with the sugar in a large mixing bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the beaten eggs, and gradually whisk them into the butter and sugar. Add the mashed bananas and beat the mixture well. Carefully fold in the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda. Stir in the walnuts. Put the cake mixture into the prepared loaf tin and decorate with the walnut halves, pressing them gently into the mixture. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, until the cake has risen and us golden. Allow to cool.

EMMA'S STYLE
Oggi il mio "vero" lavoro mi ha portato a partecipare al convegno inaugurale del Cersaie 2011, il Salone internazionale della ceramica, giunto alla 29esima edizione.Madrina d'eccezione Emma Marcegaglia, presidente di Confindustria.
Dribblo sui contenuti del suo discorso che peraltro condivido appieno; voglio invece soffermarmi sul suo stile. Questo l'outfit del giorno della Presidente: giacca bianca con profili neri, gonna nera, scarpe bianche tacco 12 con plateau, pochi gioielli importanti, orologio maschile (mi sembrava un Rolex, ma non giurerei vista la distanza...).
Questo stile mi parla di una donna sicura di sè, forte e fiera, che non rinuncia alla propria femminilità per timore di non essere credibile.
Un buon cervello può risiedere sopra un tacco 12, credetemi!
Può sembrare un'osservazione banale e scontata, ma nel nostro Paese non lo è affatto, non più almeno..

Today for my "real" work I've attended the opening of Cersaie, the 29th edition of International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings.
Special guest star: Emma Marcegaglia, President of Confindustria (the main organisation representing Italian manufacturing and services companies).
Getting around her speech (anyway I agree with her..), I want to focus about her style.
Here is President's outfit:
white jacket, black skirt, white pump heels, diamonds and masculine Rolex (so I suppose..).
This style speaks about a self-confident, strong and proud woman who doesn't part with her womanhood. A great brain may stay on a high heels, trust in me!
This statement may seems banal, but not in Italy, no more..

In questi giorni mi sta capitando spesso di leggere di nuove App "modaiole" con le quali è possibile caricare sull'Iphone le foto dei capi del proprio guardaroba e poi giocare a creare gli outfit.
Carino, ho pensato! Può essere uno strumento utile per seguire al meglio la mia To be stylish:Lesson 3.
Poi però mi è venuto in mente che magari da soli non è così easy creare i propri outfits altrimenti forse l'app neanche servirebbe... ed allora mi sono detta, e se lo facessi io per le mie lettrici?
