Ieri sera ero qui: all'inaugurazione della Suite Imperial de I Portici Hotel di Bologna. 

L'evento è stato organizzato con la collaborazione creativa della fashion designer Neima Sitawi, della quale, ricorderete, vi ho già parlato qui.

La Suite Imperial ospitava una performance di danza contemporanea della compagnia Leggere Strutture in stile anni '30, ispirazione Coco Chanel, con i capi di NEIMASITAWI e gli accessori di Paola Castellacci.

Il risultato è stato davvero delizioso: ogni angolo (piuttosto ampio..) della Suite era animato dai ballerini che danzavano sul copione di scene di vita quotidiana, dando agli spazi il sapore ed il colore della "casa" così raro da trovare in hotel. 

Ciliegina sulla torta, la deliziosa terrazza che al chiaro di luna piena ci ha offerto uno scorcio bolognese di gran fascino!

Definitivamente un evento so stylish...

Yesterday I was here: at the launch of Imperial Suite in Bologna's I portici Hotel. 

The launch has been organized in collaboration with fashion designer Neima Sitawi; I've already talked about her here.

Inside the Imperial Suite I've seen an artistic performance by Leggere Strutture dance company, inspired by '30s French style and Coco Chanel, with pieces from the NEIMASITAWI collection and accessories by Paola Castellacci. 

A great performance: every room in Suite has been animated from dancers playing real life scenes; the final result has been a "home sweet home" mood so unusual in an hotel's room.

Last but not least the amazing observation platform, at moonlight and with a beautiful Bologna view.

Definitely a so stylish launch...

E si, avete letto bene: sono di plastica o meglio di un materiale che "rappresenta un'innovazione tecnologica unica nel suo genere e brevettata a livello mondiale". Last but not least: sono completamente made in Italy.

Skulls-mania

E' ufficiale: è scoppiata la skulls-mania; dovunque e su qualunque cosa si trova un teschio!

Ormai i teschi sembrano addirittura aver soppiantato Hello Kitty, tragicamente defunta per il dolore.. 

Di solito non amo le IT-mania perché le trovo completamente prive di stile; per i teschi però faccio un'eccezione: se presi in piccole dosi e con il giusto mood possono dare un tocco stylish gothic a qualsiasi outfit, esaltandone la personalità. 

L'importante è scegliere con stile e non esagerare, of course. Un solo accessorio "skullato" è più che sufficiente!

It has broken out the skulls-mania: on anything, everywhere there is a skull. 

It seems even that skulls are the new "Hello Kitty", tragically dead for the shock :-)

Usually I don't like the IT-manias because they are not stylish but popular; skulls are an exception: in small doses and with the right mood they add a stylish gothic touch to every outfit, enhancing it.

Only one golden rule: choose with style and don't exaggerate, of course. 

Only one skulled accessory is enough!

Appena l'ho visto è stato subito amore..... 

Parlo di Tweety, piccolo ma potentissimo minispeaker portatile: bellissimo da vedere, di dimensioni molto ridotte e con una qualità del suono straordinaria (prezzo appeal: euro 35).

To be stylish: guide to cheap&stylish shopping!

 Eh si, acquistare cheap non è facile; ci vuole occhio, spirito critico e cautela.
Già, cautela...perché a volte il prezzo low ci seduce al punto da nascondere gli innegabili, evidenti difetti del capo che stiamo per acquistare e che poi dormirà sonni tranquilli nel nostro armadio....
Cautela donne!
I miei consigli:

• qualunque sia il capo che vi attrae provatelo e con calma! Anche se si tratta "solo" di una clutch: prendetela in mano e specchiatevi immaginandola nell'outfit al quale state pensando. Poi apritela e controllate l'interno: cosa può contenere? Vi soddisfa? Se le risposte sono tutte positive, allora tirate fuori la carta di credito. Se si tratta di una gonna o di un pantalone, l'attenzione deve essere ancora maggiore: controllate le cuciture (odio le cuciture storte e sfilacciate! Sono così unstylish...) e controllate come il capo si adatta al vostro corpo. Siate ipercritiche: anche solo 10 euro sono troppi per un capo che non indosserete mai!
• preferite il cheap per:
• le mode della stagione, tanto alla fine passano e non ha senso investire cifre folli;
• i capi bling bling (leggi: paillettes, lurex, lamè, glitter) a meno che non siate una star del cinema, of course.....
• le gonne: trovo che siano quelle che più facilmente stanno bene anche se di qualità non elevata.
• evitate il cheap per:
• le stampe animalier: si vede proprio, meglio rinunciare...
• le borse, con l'unica eccezione delle clutch da sera;
• le scarpe per tutti i motivi del mondo!
• privilegiate il nero ed evitate come la peste il nude.

E ricordate: il cheap va sempre mixato con accessori de luxe ;-)  Be stylish despite the cheap!

 To buy cheap clothings are not so easy. It's necessary to be careful, critical and circumspect. Sometimes low prices are so appeal to hide the clearly visible defects of clothings you're thinking to buy.
 So mind the cheap and follow my suggestions:

• put on what you're thinking to buy: even if is "only" a clutch, put on and look at yourself in the mirror: is it right for the outfit you're thinking about? Are you ok? If your answers are positive, take your credit card... If you want to buy a skirt or a pant, be very very careful: check the seams (not straight or frayed seams are so unstylish.....) and check the shame. Be so critical: also 10 euros are too much for a clothing that you'll never put on...
• choose the cheap for:
• seasonals IT: at the end they fades...so it's not necessary to spend a fortune..
• bling bling clothings (sequins, lurex, gold, glitters and so on), unless you're are a movie star...
• skirts: I think they are often ok even if not expensive and not good quality!
• keep from the cheap for:
• animal print: it's sad to see, better don't buy it!
• bags except for clutches
• shoes...for every reason!
• prefer black and keep absolutely from nude colour.

And remember: mix&match cheap clothings with luxury accessories.
Be stylish despite the cheap!
